The higher surface area from the wider upper filter body coupled with a double layer lateral assembly at the bottom of the filter body enables a greater flow rate of water through the filter compared to filters of the same footprint and width. The double layer lateral assembly also assists in greater water flow during backwash and cleaning cycles reducing water requirement. A 6 way Multi-Port Valve (MPV) with glue connections. On filter size of 1.5"/2.0" for pipework and standard 1.5"/2.0" BSP screw fittings.

We recommend recycled glass media over silica sand due to its superior filtration level but this filter is designed for both traditional sand and glass media.
